CXC & U.S. Ski Team Center of Excellence

Middleton WI

A Training and Event Center for All

VIGOR EMANATES FROM A STRONG CENTER

The Central Cross Country (CXC) Center of Excellence will provide an extraordinary, four-season environment for training, competition, community, and events for people of all abilities. It will serve as a training and competition base for the U.S. Ski Team’s Olympic and Paralympic athletes, as well as a community and event center. Surrounded by miles of interlinked trails for skiing, biking, and exploring, the design for the Center of Excellence pulls the landscape through the building to provide universally accessible connections and seamless indoor/outdoor experiences that place people at the center, empowering growth, strength, and independence. Akin to the grace and might at the intersection of skis in the freestyle movement sequence, the intersection of people, place and diverse abilities at the CXC Center will serve as a healthy hub to help bolster the core of the community.
