  • Planning and Design for Private Landowner, Florida, Texas, Georgia, 2021-2026. Confidential projects for large-scale landowner, including site analysis, research, master planning, concept design, programming, project management, outreach, and facilitation for portfolio of properties throughout the Southeastern U.S.

  • Cedar-Riverside Recreation Center Project Support, Minneapolis MN, 2024-2025. Independent consulting to support Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board’s project manager, including programming, program-site test fits, code analysis, B3 compatibility, and collaboration with project partners.

  • YMCA Adventure and Outdoor Experiences Visioning, Minneapolis MN, 2024. Planning, facilitation, and summary of “Camp of the Future” visioning for YMCA of the North.

  • Cedar-Riverside Recreation Centers Predesign, Minneapolis MN, 2019-2020. Project Manager and Lead Architect for predesign studies for two new recreation centers to serve the Cedar-Riverside community in Minneapolis, including sports, fitness, health & wellness spaces.

  • University of San Diego, Knauss School of Business, San Diego CA, 2019-2020. Lead Landscape Architect for new business school, including courtyards, terraces, streetscapes, water conservation, native plants, and sustainable stormwater.

  • Kent State University College of Business Administration, Kent OH, 2018-2020. Lead Landscape Architect for new college of business administration, including plazas, rainwater pond, native & adapted plants, service access, and a new campus gateway.

  • Central Cross-Country & U.S. Ski Team Center of Excellence, Middleton WI, 2019. Lead Landscape Architect and Architectural Collaborator for a new 24,000 SF high performance, four-season, cross-country skiing, biking, cross training, community, and event center to serve the U.S. Ski Team, Olympic & Paralympic athletes, and the community. Independent volunteer project in collaboration with Gensler.

  • The Meadoway Visualization Toolkit, Toronto ON, 2019. Lead Landscape Architect for the development of a visualization toolkit for a 16-kilometer transformation of an existing power line corridor to one of Canada’s longest linear urban parkways.

  • Dickinson High School Concept Design, Dickinson ND, 2018-2019. Lead Landscape Architect for planning and concept design for a new 375,000 SF high school on a 38-acre site to serve 1,600 students.

  • Churchill Technology & Business Park Master Plan, Avondale LA, 2018-2019. Lead Landscape Architect for the development of a framework to align the region’s target growth industries within a smart, sustainable development plan, including green infrastructure, parks, and civic space with ambitious business development.

  • Southdale Library, Edina MN, 2017-2018. Project Manager for a new 72,000 SF regional library on a 4-acre site.

  • Kurt Building Adaptive Reuse, Minneapolis MN, 2017-2018. Project Manager, Lead Architect + Landscape Architect for adaptive re-use of 100,000 SF post-industrial complex into mixed office, brewery, and event center with pocket park and pedestrian street improvements.

  • Reimagining Warner Beach Design Competition, Madison WI, 2017-2018. Lead Designer + Project Manager for winning entry to design competition to reimagine Warner Beach in terms of sustainability, water quality, accessibility, and placemaking.

  • New Richmond Library, New Richmond WI, 2017. Lead Designer for concept design of a new 28,000 SF library in a park, inspired by regional geologic and hydrologic phenomena and including a marketplace layout, public plaza, nature-based play area, outdoor reading space, and ice skating, within a topographically-amplified site to support programs and demonstrate a sustainable storm water approach.

  • Blakely Elementary School, Bainbridge Island WA, 2016-2017. Project Manager + Lead Designer for new 68,000 SF elementary school on a 12-acre site, serving 450 students in grades 1-4, and featuring unique classroom clusters integrated within a forested learning landscape.

  • Annie Wright Schools Master Facilities Plan, Tacoma WA, 2016. Project Manager + Lead Designer for a private pre-K-12 campus facilities master plan, including assessments for a new gym, new upper school, middle school renovation and associated parking expansion within historic campus and nearby properties.

  • Annie Wright Schools, New Boys Upper School and Gymnasium Expansion, Tacoma WA, 2016-2017. Advisor for new boys’ upper school academic facility and gymnasium expansion, emerging as an outgrowth of the Master Facilities Plan.

  • University Prep Master Facilities Plan, Seattle WA, 2015-2016. Project Manager + Lead Designer for campus facilities master plan for middle and high school, including renovations and expansions to existing facilities and a new 35,000 SF facility.

  • University Prep U Lab, Seattle WA, 2015-2017. Early Project Manager for new 35,000 SF innovative academic facility serving middle and high school students, emerging as an outgrowth of the master facilities plan.

  • University of California San Diego, Mesa Nueva Housing, San Diego CA, 2014-2017. Lead Landscape Architect for LEED Gold targeted, 28-acre high density student and faculty housing development, including large, park-like civic heart, open space, gardens, pool, and children’s play area.

  • Mariposa Grove Restoration, Yosemite National Park CA, 2011-2017. Lead Designer + Project Manager for planning and design to restore the largest of three giant sequoia groves within Yosemite National Park; key project scope included natural & cultural resource preservation, facilities and infrastructure design, trail system design, and NEPA compliance.

  • The Bush School, New Middle School and Upper School Expansion, Seattle WA, 2016-2017. Educational Programmer + Designer for new middle school and upper school expansion, including classrooms, library, commons/cafeteria, and a performing arts space.

  • The Overlake School, Predesign for New Math and Science Facilities, Redmond WA, 2016. Educational Programmer, Designer, and Lead Landscape Architect for 38,000 SF of new math, science, and administrative facilities with renovated entry and parking/drop-off.

  • Middle School and Creative Arts Building, Community School, Sun Valley ID, 2013-2015. Lead Designer + Project Manager for new Middle School and Creative Arts Building for existing private school, including classrooms, maker's lab, science lab, common spaces, outdoor learning spaces, and habitat enhancement along Trail Creek.

  • Sustainability Treehouse, Mt. Hope WV, 2010-2013. Co-Designer + Project Architect for Living Building Challenge targeted interpretive, educational and gathering facility located within a restored forest on a 10,000-acre reserve. 

  • Summit Bechtel Reserve Facilities, Mt. Hope WV, 2010-2013. Project Architect and Designer for multiple environmental education facilities to support a new High Adventure Base Camp for the Boy Scouts of America on a 10,000-acre post-industrial tract of land adjacent to the New River Gorge National River in rural West Virginia.

  • Walking Mountains Science Center, Avon CO, 2006-2011. Designer for LEED Platinum Certified environmental education facility including classrooms, offices, gathering spaces, and a new trail network through a restored wetland.

  • Tenaya Lake Area Plan, Yosemite National Park, CA, 2008-2014. Project Manager + Lead Designer for restoration plan and Phase 1 accessible trail to improve visitor safety, access, and experience while protecting natural and cultural resources surrounding this High Sierra lake.

  • Girl Scouts of Western Washington Camp Properties + Programs Master Plan, West WA, 2010-2011. Lead Planner + Project Manager for master planning and programming for seven Girl Scout camp properties throughout western Washington, involving an extensive constituent outreach process.

  • Louisiana Children’s Museum Early Learning Village, New Orleans LA, 2009-2010. Project Landscape Architect + Co-Project Architect during Phase 1 for LEED Silver targeted, Sustainable Sites Initiative Pilot Project children’s museum, literacy center, nature center, and performance theater located in City Park.

  • Washington State Capitol Campus Landscape Preservation Master Plan, Olympia WA, 2008-2009. Lead Planner + Project Manager for Preservation Master Plan, Vegetation Management Plan, and Large Tree Layer Plan for the fifty-acre historic campus originally designed by the Olmsted Brothers and Wilder and White.

  • Kitsap SEED (Sustainable Energy and Economic Development), Bremerton WA, 2007-2008. Project Architect for LEED Platinum targeted office and laboratory incubator facility for clean technology start-up companies within a world-class campus intended to showcase the highest level of sustainable development and business operating practices.

  • High Point Neighborhood Re-development, Seattle WA, 2007-2008. Construction Administration Assistant for multiple award-winning HUD Hope VI neighborhood redevelopment combining social and environmental goals to transform a distressed site into a vibrant and sustainable community.

  • REI Corporate Campus Sustainable Master Plan, Kent WA, 2007. Architectural Designer + Project Landscape Architect for expansion master plan highlighting resource conservation for sustainable growth and operations.

  • Riverwoods Environmental Education Center, Corbin KY, 2006-2007. Architectural Designer for LEED and Living Building Challenge targeted outdoor education facility along the Cumberland River for underserved populations within southeast Kentucky.

  • Eco-Resort Development, East Caicos, Turks and Caicos Islands, 2006. Project Manager + Project Landscape Architect for master plan for eco-resort development to spur sustainable tourism for remote Caribbean island.

  • Suncadia Resort Swim and Fitness Center, Cle Elum WA, 2005-2006. Project Architect for planned residential development, swim and fitness center, and ice skating pavilion.
